Wisdom Wednesday with Angus: Act like a fool!

“The greatest pleasure of a dog is that you may make a fool of yourself with him and not only will he not scold you, but he will make a fool of himself too.” -Samuel Butler

Angus did not really want to take pictures yesterday. I am lucky I didn’t have to use a picture of his bum! But hey, it is his blog too!

It is certainly true that you can just be your weird self with your furry bff and they will love you just the same! Dogs don’t really care if you tripped over your own feet chasing them. Or, if you are on your hands and knees howling right along with them. All that matters is that you guys are having fun, and that they are getting that attention that they crave from you!

I think that in everyday life people are afraid of looking like a fool for one simple reason. It is because you put your full effort into trying something and you fell short. The easiest indicator of failing is when you look foolish. Like, you are laying in a face plant while everyone else is still jumping over the hurdles.

But, you shouldn’t be afraid to look like a fool, or of failure. It is ok to fail!

Also, people don’t want to look like a big weirdo when they let loose. They fear that when they start to dance, they will look uncoordinated and people will laugh. In reality though, a full expression of yourself is beautiful! It shows that you are confident in who you are! Sure, their will be people who look at you and poke fun. But, there will be a lot more people that admire you! When you make a fool of yourself, laugh it off. At least you tried!
